“Seeing much, suffering much, and studying much are the three pillars of learning.”

- Disraeli

I like to keep myself pretty busy - So what am I up to?

This website. Unfortunately it doesn't get much attention, due to be constantly busy with the next project:

I'm writing some software using Apache Cocoon. It's a Java framework for manipulating XML, and is focused on seperating concerns (style, content, logic). I like it a lot, but there's a considerable amount to learn with respect to XML.

I thought I'd start to learn to touch type. But instead of learning it on the QWERTY layout like everybody else, I thought I'd go with Dvorak since you move your fingers something like 70% less than with QWERTY. It has been suggested that this allows you to type quicker, but studies are inconclusive. Anecdotal evidence suggests far less strain though which to me means less likelihood of RSI.
